Osteria Via Stato will hold "A Summer's Eve Dinner" featuring a seasonal menu by Chef David DiGregorio and wine pairings by Candid Wines. Communal, convivial table seatings will highlight Slow Food's "come to the table" mentality. The "Summer Eve's Dinner" benefits Slow Food Chicago and kicks-off tomato season.
David Cleverdon from Kinnikinnick Farm, a 40 acre certified organic Market Garden in Caledonia, Illinois, will speak briefly about growing tomatoes and will also sample tomatoes at different stages of peakness. Slow Food Chicago and Candid Wine's upcoming TomatoFest: BLT Series will also be discussed.
